Ridgecrest is in the middle of nowhere, but in the middle of everything...if that makes any sense! Ridgecrest is just a few hours away from the beach, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Mount Whitney, the Kern River, Hollywood, and many more fantastic areas. Please see the airports below for information on distances, etc. We have included all nearby airports as we are sure some of our guests will want to take advantage of the area in which they fly into before or after coming to Ridgecrest. For example, some people have already mentioned taking the kids to Disneyland on their trip out. Orange County airport is the closest airport to Mouse family! Please let us know if you have any questions on this!

Inyokern Airport is by far the closest airport into Ridgecrest. If you look online for specials, the route is served by Skywest Airlines. They fly nonstop only from LAX and only through United Airlines. If you are planning on flying on United to the wedding, it is often only a tad bit more (less than the gas it would take you to drive) to fly from LAX into IYK. You have to be diligent on looking for the deal though, they come around every now again. In addition, this flight is not for the nervous flyer. It is a turbo prop plane holding 30 seats or so and the flight is almost always quite turbulent when it goes over the mountains coming in to land. I fly this route every time I come home though, and it is by far the easiest way to get to Ridgecrest!
Ontario is my Mom's favorite airport to get to. It is less busy and has less traffic than LAX. In addition, it is a bit closer to Ridgecrest than LAX. However, it doesn't have as many flight options as does LAX, though it does have a lot.
LAX is by far the biggest airport to fly into if you are planning on coming to Ridgecrest. This doesn't necessarily mean it is the best option, but there will be the most flights to this airport from accross the country, and for our international friends, this is where you want to fly into! In addition, LAX is my Dad's favorite airport to fly in and out of.
Burbank is an easy airport in terms of congestion, though you will hit the same Los Angeles traffic as you would flying into LAX. It is on the smaller side though, with less flights coming from various parts of the country.
Orange County airport I would not recommend flying into unless you are headed to Disneyland. It is on the other side of L.A. from us, and since there is almost always traffic, you can count on gettting stuck there. If however, Disneyland is on your to-do list when you fly out here, it may be a good option for you. Also, don't forget, airlines will often let you fly into on LA destination and out of another, so this may be a good option for you. If you plan ahead, rental car companies are often lenient about letting you do one way car rentals within the L.A. area as well.
Bakersfield is a small airport, but only about a two hour drive. Continental (Justin flies there sometimes), United, America West, and Delta all serve this airport.
Last but DEFINITELY not least, Las Vegas. Las Vegas airport is by far the farthest airport from Ridgecrest out of the above mentioned, but is mentioned for obvious reasons. I know some of you may be willing to make the four hour drive if you are planning on spending a little time there before or after the wedding. Las Vegas has flights going into it from all over the country and you can often find very cheap deals due to the touristy destination.
Okay, so that is all of your airline options for near Ridgecrest. Near being a relative term of course! At least you have many options, so you can price shop to get the best deal! Please don't hesitate to ask us any questions. As you all know we are quite the airline guru's!
