How we met

In June of 2003, Tiffany got hired at Southwest Airlines to work in Oakland, CA. She was new to the area, so she needed to find a place to live. She looked at many different places in Alameda when she finally found 2795 San Pedro Road. She found the big white house on Craigslist.org. Tiffany emailed the listing and received an email from a guy named Justin. He was available to show her the house the next day, so they scheduled an appointment. When Tiffany arrived at the house, the front door was wide open, but there was no one to be found. Out of one of the windows she saw a guy throwing a football. She walked outside and approached the two guys tossing the football around. The two took Tiffany inside to interview her as someone to rent out the extra room. Tiffany made sure the pair knew she wanted to live there. As she left, she called her friend Robyn to tell her that she HAD to live there, because if she didn't she would never see him again. Needless to say, Justin called her the next day to let her know that the room was hers if she wanted it, and two weeks later, Tiffany and Justin were an item!

When we got engaged

How we got engaged

Justin took Tiffany to Maui for the weekend in early March of 2006. It was a quick trip with only three days being spent in Hawaii. We stayed in a Hyatt Resort in Kaanapali, which was very nice and special. We travel a lot, but don't stay in really nice places all that often! Tiffany thought something might be coming, but she wasn't sure. The last day we were in Maui we decided to go on the road to Hana. We bought a CD and stopped at all the recommended places, including private swimming holes, beautiful waterfalls, and the black sand beach pictured above. After we had seen it all, and made it all the way to Oheo Gulch, we turned around to head back to the airport. At this time, Tiffany didn't think that she was going to be engaged when she went back to Alameda. Then, as they turned around to head to the airport, Justin stopped at the most beautiful waterfall that we had seen and claimed that he didn't get a good picture of it. Tiffany and Justin walked up closer to the waterfall. Justin got down on his knee (in the mud!) and proposed. It was incredibly romantic and a total surprise!
